A Front Yard That Says “Welcome”
The owners of this modest home with a white picket fence are crazy about strong colors and were tired of paying high water bills. With the lawn gone, visitors can stroll through a colorful garden packed with unthirsty plants.
Saving water was the main interest for the owners. Lawn removal was followed by a colorful combination of drought-tolerant ground covers and shrubs.
The owners' love of bright red accents led to a plant palette of vibrant colors.
Delightfully pink Grevillea's feathery leaves add a burst of color and also screen the view of the street from the house entrance.
New flagstone welcomes guests to the house and pass through a carpet of Purple Heart Tradescantia and Pork and Beans Sedum.
High contrast color from Grevillea and Kangaroo Paws. Thank you, Australia!
